Hello! I'm Pablo García, and today I'm here to tell you about my REAL experience with the famous Lidl food processor, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart. Yes, the one you've seen everywhere, from your aunt's house to cooking debates on the Internet. And beware, it's not by chance, this bug is up to the task and I'll tell you all about it from my personal experiences.
For those who aren't into the whole thing, a cooking robot is basically an appliance that does everything in the kitchen: mixes, kneads, cooks, fries, weighs... And all without you having to lift a finger!. And the Lidl model, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart, has positioned itself as one of the most popular on the market. The reason? It's much cheaper than its competition, especially if you compare it to other heavyweights like the Thermomix.
I'll be honest: cooking wasn't my thing. I always saw recipes that looked like something out of a doctoral thesis, with a thousand steps and impossible techniques. And this is where the Monsieur Cuisine cooking robot comes into play. As soon as I turned it on, I realized that I had in front of me a sort of personal chef, and without having to spend a kidney on it. And the best part: it guides you step by step through the recipes. Imagine you're cooking and the 8-inch touchscreen shows you every step, including videos. easy? No, easy.
Okay, here's where we start getting technical, but relax, I'll make it easy.
Capacity: The carafe has a volume of 4.5 liters. That's perfect if, like me, you cook for several people. There are five of us at home and there's always something left over for the next day.
Touch screen: I mentioned it before, but this detail changes everything. It's like having a tablet in the kitchen that tells you exactly what to do and when. You can even save your own tricks or recipe modifications - it's all done from the screen!
WiFi and Voice Control: This is one of the most modern features it offers. You can connect the robot to your WiFi network and access over 600 recipes online (and uploading). In addition, the connection with Google Home allows you to control it by voice. "Ok Google, make me paella", and off you go! Okay, it may not work quite as literally, but almost!.
Automatic Functions: This bug doesn't just mix or cook. It also mixes, stir-fries, steams, grinds, emulsifies, and does it all at the temperature of your choice (between 37 and 130°C, in case you want to be super precise).
Accessories included: It comes with everything you need: a spatula, the measuring cup, and steaming accessories.
The first time I used it, I promise you I was flipping out. I wanted to make an easy recipe, some lentils, and it turned out that I didn't even have to move from my chair while the robot Monsieur Cuisine took care of everything. I just had to throw in the ingredients and follow the instructions on the screen. I nailed it! And with almost no effort.
The only downside? The size. It's a fairly large appliance (about 45 cm wide), so if you have a small kitchen, you may struggle to find room for it. But hey, it's worth having to rearrange the cabinets if it's to make room for this monster.
Ah, and another detail. The recipes are a blast, but the app and interface could use some improvement. Some translations are not perfect, and although you can get by, it would be great if they fixed it in future updates.
Of course it is! Let's see, I'm not going to fool you. The Thermomix is still the king of food processors, but the price difference is abysmal. If you don't feel like spending almost three times as much, the Monsieur Cuisine Smart is a brutal option.
Both have similar functions: cooking, mixing, kneading.... But the one from Lidl costs less than 500 euros, while the Thermomix is around 1,200 euros. In other words, for those of us who don't want to mortgage our kitchen, the Lidl is the winning option.
If you are one of those who hate spending hours in the kitchen or simply want to make your life easier, yes, I recommend it with my eyes closed. This appliance is a gem for those who, like me, are looking for something practical and uncomplicated. It's sturdy, has a sleek design, and will make you feel like you're the next Masterchef. And the best: at an unbeatable price.
So, you know, if you're thinking of buying a Lidl kitchen robot, don't give it another thought. I recommend it 100%. And if you already have one, tell me how it went. I want to hear all about it!
