Why choose BIM Facility Management?

Are you tired of always doing the same thing and looking to stand out in an increasingly competitive market? BIM Facility Management can be that push you're missing. Imagine being in charge of managing buildings, not only maintaining them, but optimizing every corner to make them run like a Swiss watch. That's what BIM methodology applied to Facility Management offers you: efficiency, control and a whole new way of managing real estate.

I don't know about you, but I get tired of the days when everything seems like a never-ending routine. And when you discover that there are tools like BIM that make your life easier, it almost seems like magic. But beware, it's not magic: it's pure technological innovation.

What the hell is BIM and why do you need it?

BIM (Building Information Modeling, for friends) is something like the Holy Grail of construction and design. It's not just a software, it's a complete methodology that allows you to create a digital model of a building. But Carlos, that sounds boring... Not at all! This model is not just any model, no sir. It is a virtual representation that gives you detailed information: materials, costs, construction times, and even the life cycle of the building.

And that's where Facility Management comes in. Because, of course, it's one thing to build a building, but it's quite another to keep it running for years, don't you think? That's where the combination of BIM and Facility Management becomes the perfect solution for controlling every aspect of a building.

How BIM Facility Management changes the rules of the game

Before, managing a building was like walking blind. Where are the plans? What piping is going wrong?.... What a stress! But thanks to BIM, you can have all the control. Why? Because you have a virtual model with all the information in real time.

This means you can foresee failures before they happen, schedule maintenance without interrupting operations and, best of all, save costs. Can you imagine having all this at your disposal?

The three super powers of BIM Facility Management

I've already told you: it's not magic, but it's close. These are the three super powers that BIM gives you in the world of Facility Management:

Real-time information: You will have all the information of each component of the building at the click of a button. No more searching for physical plans. All the information will be right there when you need it.

Preventive maintenance: You can anticipate problems before they happen. The BIM model alerts you to which areas require maintenance and when. So you not only react to problems, but you anticipate them.

Savings and efficiency: All this control translates into fewer errors, fewer unforeseen events and, therefore, lower costs. And you know, when you save money for the company, you earn a few extra points with the bosses.

Who is BIM Facility Management for?

This is not just for engineers or architects. If you are a Facility Manager, maintenance manager or anyone who manages real estate, this course is made for you. The BIM methodology gives you a brutal competitive advantage, because it allows you to manage your buildings in a much more efficient and professional way.

Even if you have been working in this field for years, I assure you that learning to manage BIM models will open up a new world of job opportunities. And I'm not saying it, the market is saying it: the companies that use BIM are the ones that are leading the construction and asset management sector.

What will you learn in the BIM Facility Management course?

Now you may be asking yourself, "Ok, Carlos, sounds great, but.... What exactly am I going to learn?" Well, here comes the best part. In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Create and manage as-built models: These are models that represent the real state of a building, and not just its original design.
  • Apply BIM methodology for maintenance and operations: You will be taught how to integrate the use of BIM in the operation phase of a building.
  • Manage the life cycle of a building: From construction to maintenance, and beyond.
  • Implement BIM models in historic buildings: Yes! Because you will also learn how to manage the maintenance and rehabilitation of architectural heritage with BIM.

Don't get left behind!

With BIM Facility Management, you are not just preparing yourself to be a better property manager. You are investing in your future, in your career, and in acquiring skills that few people have mastered yet.

Best of all? This course is 100% online, so you can do it from the comfort of your home, at your own pace. So, if you want to stand out in the world of Facility Management and take advantage of all the opportunities that this methodology can offer you, what are you waiting for?
