Hello! I'm Pablo García, and today I want to share with you my experience with public employment at the State Agency of Tax Administration (AEAT). Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to learn firsthand how this institution works and how you can be part of it. If you have ever considered working at the AEAT, this article is for you.
The AEAT is the body in charge of managing the tax and customs system in Spain. Its main mission is to ensure that we all comply with our tax obligations, thus ensuring the necessary resources for the functioning of the country. But, beyond its collection function, the AEAT is also a major public employer, offering job opportunities in various areas and for different professional profiles.
I remember my first steps in the working world, when I was looking for stability and a job that would allow me to grow professionally. It was then when I discovered the AEAT public employment offers. The idea of working in such an important institution was attractive to me, and I decided to prepare for the competitive examinations.
Accessing a position in the AEAT is no easy task. The selective processes are based on the principles of merit, capacity, equal opportunities and publicity. This means that, in order to get a position, you must prepare yourself thoroughly and demonstrate your skills and knowledge.
In my case, I chose to apply for the Technical Corps of the Treasury, one of the most sought-after categories. The preparation was intense: hours of study, preparatory classes and mock exams. But, in the end, the effort was worth it.
Once inside the AEAT, training does not stop. The institution offers multiple opportunities to continue learning and specializing in different areas. From internal courses to internal promotion programs, there are always options to advance your career.
Something that pleasantly surprised me when I joined the AEAT was the diversity of professional profiles that make up the institution. It doesn't matter if your background is in law, economics, IT or even more technical areas; the AEAT has departments that require varied knowledge.
For example, the Tax IT Department is essential for the development and maintenance of the applications we use on a daily basis. Similarly, the Customs and Excise Department requires experts in international trade and logistics.
Working at the AEAT offers multiple advantages. In addition to the job stability inherent in public employment, you have a competitive salary, opportunities for promotion and the satisfaction of contributing to the smooth running of the country.
In addition, the AEAT cares about the well-being of its employees, offering work-life balance measures, as well as training and professional development programs.
If you are interested in joining the AEAT, I recommend you follow these steps:
My experience at AEAT has been enriching both professionally and personally. I have had the opportunity to work with great professionals, constantly learn and contribute to the welfare of society.
If you are looking for a solid career, with growth opportunities and in a prestigious institution, I encourage you to consider the AEAT public employment offers. With hard work and dedication, you can be part of this great team.
Much encouragement on your path to public employment!
