Educa UNIVERSITY|JOBS & PROFESSIONS
I'm going to be clear from the beginning: looking for a job is a roller coaster. Throughout my life, I have had to walk the path of Navarra Empleo more than once, and today I come to tell you what nobody tells you about this service, from the experience of a veteran in these matters.
What is Navarra Empleo?
For those who don't know, Navarra Empleo, or as it is officially called Servicio Navarro de Empleo - Nafar Lansare (SNE-NL), is the entity in charge of managing everything related to employment in the region. Are you out of work? This is where your adventure begins.
When you become unemployed, the first thing you have to do is go to register for employment. There they give you what I call "the passport of the unemployed", but officially it is the DARDE card. Does that sound strange to you? Well, this little card is the one that allows you to access training services, job orientation, and most importantly ... the job offers!
One thing I learned in my years of battle is that you have to be careful with the dates: you have to renew the employment demand every 3 months. If you don't, your card is deactivated, and then goodbye to grants and job offers. Don't let it pass you by, I learned this the hard way!
One of the best things Navarra Empleo offers is its free training courses. Let's see, it's not that I love being in a classroom when I'm looking for a job, but they saved me more than once. In fact, if you are unemployed, there are courses designed especially for you. I remember a digital marketing one I took in Pamplona that opened the doors to my last job.
These courses cover everything from technical areas to such practical things as socorrism, health transport and e-commerce. And, best of all, some give you certificates of professionalism which, believe me, are pure gold on a CV.
Here comes the good stuff, or what many think is the good stuff: the job offers. You can access them from the Navarra Empleo platform or directly at the offices. What I learned quickly is that you are not always going to find what you are looking for. But the important thing is not to get discouraged. The key is perseverance.
And if you're like me, who already had a family and couldn't afford to stand still for long, you have to make Navarra Employment work for you. How? Renewing the demand in time, asking for guidance and, above all, signing up for everything you can. You don't know when something good might come along.
This is also of interest to you, especially if you're in a hurry to find work. The temporary employment agencies (ETT) and the placement agencies are allies of Navarra Empleo. These companies connect you directly with temporary jobs, and although they are not always the long-term solution, a job is a job. In fact, many times you enter through a small door and end up with a permanent contract.
The job search in Navarra can be a tedious process, but with Navarra Empleo you have tools that, if you know how to take advantage of them, can make the difference. Don't wait for a job to fall from the sky. If you are unemployed, make Navarra Empleo work for you. Take advantage of every offer, every course, and every piece of advice they give you. Believe me, you learn from everything.
In short, Navarra Empleo is not just a formality, it is a tool for you to return to the labor market better prepared and with more possibilities than ever. Make your job search a long-distance race, not a sprint.
The faculties embrace diverse academic disciplines and fields of study, opening doors to new perspectives and exploring different spheres of wisdom in a constantly evolving world.
