Hello, I'm Pablo Garcia! And today I'm going to tell you my personal experience with the job offers of the SAE (Andalusian Employment Service). If you are looking for work in Andalusia, pay attention because here I bring you all the information I have collected over the years dealing with this service. Let's talk about how it works, the steps to follow, and those small details that you should know to avoid being left out of the labor market.
The Servicio Andaluz de Empleo (SAE) is a labor intermediation platform managed by the Junta de Andalucía. Its objective is to help job seekers to find work and companies to fill vacancies in an agile way. Come on, the SAE is nothing more than the Tinder of the labor market, but with less "matches" and more paperwork.... Oops, I said it!
On the SAE website, you will find all kinds of job offers, from the most typical ones such as administrative, to public jobs or agricultural campaigns. Watch out! If you want to work outside Spain, you can also see the offers of EURES, the European employment network.
Here's the good part. It's not enough to just view the offer and click "I'm interested". You have to be registered as a job seeker in the SAE system. So, if you have not yet done so, it's time to stop being lazy and go to the nearest office or do it directly from the web.
Once you register, you can access the employment exchange of the SAE and filter the offers that best fit your profile. For this, you can use parameters such as job categories, subcategories, keywords (example: "gardener", "engineer", or any other word that describes your ideal job), or select whether the offers are managed directly by the SAE.
From experience I tell you: if you want the alerts to reach you quickly, activate notifications by email or SMS from the applicant's personal area. Don't miss any offer!
The SAE not only publishes offers managed directly by them, there are also other types of offers that you should know about:
And of course, public jobs and agricultural campaigns have their space in the SAE.
To register for an offer, it is not enough to click on "sign me up". You have to meet certain requirements, such as being registered as a job seeker and having your updated resume on the platform. Sounds easy, right? It is not always. You can get an error because you do not meet the requirements of the offer or because you have not stamped the unemployment on time. And yes, that happened to me once. Don't forget to renew your application every three months!
And here are some tips from a friend, because it happened to me more than once and I don't want it to happen to you:
In addition to registering for offers, I recommend that you use the resources of Andalucía Orienta. This service helps you prepare for interviews, improve your resume, and guide you if you are a little lost. I did it and it helped me a lot.
The SAE can be your best ally if you know how to move on its platform. It is a fundamental tool for anyone looking for a job in Andalusia, but watch out! It is not magic. You need to be active, meet the requirements and be aware of important dates. If you do, the SAE offers can get you a lot closer to that job you want so badly.
So you know, don't just sit around with your arms crossed. Sign up, update your CV, and go for it!.
