SAE Job Offers: Everything you need to know to find work in Andalusia

Hello, I'm Pablo Garcia! And today I'm going to tell you my personal experience with the job offers of the SAE (Andalusian Employment Service). If you are looking for work in Andalusia, pay attention because here I bring you all the information I have collected over the years dealing with this service. Let's talk about how it works, the steps to follow, and those small details that you should know to avoid being left out of the labor market.

What are the SAE job offers?

The Servicio Andaluz de Empleo (SAE) is a labor intermediation platform managed by the Junta de Andalucía. Its objective is to help job seekers to find work and companies to fill vacancies in an agile way. Come on, the SAE is nothing more than the Tinder of the labor market, but with less "matches" and more paperwork.... Oops, I said it!

On the SAE website, you will find all kinds of job offers, from the most typical ones such as administrative, to public jobs or agricultural campaigns. Watch out! If you want to work outside Spain, you can also see the offers of EURES, the European employment network.

How can you register for SAE job offers?

Here's the good part. It's not enough to just view the offer and click "I'm interested". You have to be registered as a job seeker in the SAE system. So, if you have not yet done so, it's time to stop being lazy and go to the nearest office or do it directly from the web.

Once you register, you can access the employment exchange of the SAE and filter the offers that best fit your profile. For this, you can use parameters such as job categories, subcategories, keywords (example: "gardener", "engineer", or any other word that describes your ideal job), or select whether the offers are managed directly by the SAE.

From experience I tell you: if you want the alerts to reach you quickly, activate notifications by email or SMS from the applicant's personal area. Don't miss any offer!

Types of offers you can find in the SAE

The SAE not only publishes offers managed directly by them, there are also other types of offers that you should know about:

  • Offers managed by SAE offices (code 01): The SAE is in charge of the entire selection process.
  • EURES offers: To work in other European Union countries.
  • OM or EA: Offers managed directly by companies, but published on the SAE platform((.

And of course, public jobs and agricultural campaigns have their space in the SAE.

What do you need to apply for an offer?

To register for an offer, it is not enough to click on "sign me up". You have to meet certain requirements, such as being registered as a job seeker and having your updated resume on the platform. Sounds easy, right? It is not always. You can get an error because you do not meet the requirements of the offer or because you have not stamped the unemployment on time. And yes, that happened to me once. Don't forget to renew your application every three months!

Beware of the most common mistakes!

And here are some tips from a friend, because it happened to me more than once and I don't want it to happen to you:

  1. Not meeting the requirements of the job. If they ask you for English and you don't have B1, sorry, don't apply.
  2. Forgetting to renew your unemployment. You have to stamp your claim on the dates indicated. If not, you will be out of the game.
  3. Not having an updated CV. It's basic! And if you can, adapt your CV to the offer in question(.

And if I want to improve my chances?

In addition to registering for offers, I recommend that you use the resources of Andalucía Orienta. This service helps you prepare for interviews, improve your resume, and guide you if you are a little lost. I did it and it helped me a lot.

Conclusion

The SAE can be your best ally if you know how to move on its platform. It is a fundamental tool for anyone looking for a job in Andalusia, but watch out! It is not magic. You need to be active, meet the requirements and be aware of important dates. If you do, the SAE offers can get you a lot closer to that job you want so badly.

So you know, don't just sit around with your arms crossed. Sign up, update your CV, and go for it!.
