Educa UNIVERSITY|ART AND ARCHITECTURE
Ah, Plataforma Arquitectura! If you are in the world of design or construction, you've probably heard of this tool, medium, catalog ... and even muse for many architects! But if not, here I bring you my experience, loaded with authority, humor and, above all, brutal sincerity.
I want you to understand that when I talk about Platform Architecture, I do it from the gut. For years, as a professional linked to design and construction, I have seen how this giant has evolved and become the epicenter of everything related to architecture in the Spanish-speaking world.
So as not to get lost with technicalities: Plataforma Arquitectura is an online portal that functions as a huge library of projects, articles, resources and tools designed for architects and design lovers. It was founded in 2005 as an initiative to democratize architectural information, and boy, did they succeed. Today it is part of the global network ArchDaily, another titan in the sector.
Do you know what flipped me off the most when I discovered it? That it's not just a website. It's a space where stories of masterpieces, groundbreaking ideas, and innovations that could make anyone fall in love with design come together.
When you enter Plataforma Arquitectura, the first thing that strikes you is its huge catalog of works. From residential architecture to urban landscaping, you can find examples for any type of project. Are you interested in minimalist design in Japan? It's there. Do you prefer something bold in South America? They have that too.
What I value most is how each work is documented. Not only do you see spectacular photos (those angles that inspire creativity!), but also plans, technical details and even reviews of the materials used.
It doesn't matter if you're an established architect or a student hungry for knowledge; Platform Architecture has something for you.
This platform is a master's degree in architecture, but for free. Sure, it takes some time and passion.
Let me be frank: Platform Architecture opened my eyes. There was a before and after in my way of understanding the profession.
First, because it taught me that architecture is global. For years, I was stuck in local ideas, but by exploring international projects, I started to apply fresh concepts in my daily practice.
Second, because it connected me with an incredible community. It's not just a site; it's a meeting point where architects share their experiences, discussions and even contacts.
Third, because it helped me improve my own designs. Many of my ideas today are influenced by the learning I gained here.
If you want to master this tool, here are my tips:
The key to its success is its diversity and depth. No matter how specific your interest is, you will always find something useful here. Plus, its inclusive approach (everyone can participate!) makes it a living, changing resource.
When I think of Architecture Platform, I see a beacon shining a light on the design and construction industry. For me, it's more than a website; it's a companion that has guided and motivated me in my career. If you are an architect or simply passionate about design, I invite you to immerse yourself in this world and experience what I experienced.
And, remember: it is not just a portal, it is a platform to transform ideas into realities.
Are you ready to discover it for yourself?
